Pay.com.au 15% Bonus Transfer to Qantas

Transfer or Skip it?

Pay.com.au is offering up to 15% bonus Qantas Points when transferring PayRewards Points to Qantas Business Rewards. Here’s how the offer works and whether it’s worth it.

Pay.com.au has launched a new transfer bonus for businesses that earn PayRewards Points.

For a limited time, PayRewards members can earn up to 15% more Qantas Points when transferring PayRewards Points to a Qantas Business Rewards account.

On the surface, this is a solid offer — especially because Qantas has one of the strongest transfer rates through Pay.com.au.

But before you move a large balance into Qantas, it’s worth asking one important question:

Do you actually have a plan to use those Qantas Points?

Because if you don’t, the flexibility of PayRewards Points may be more valuable than the 15% bonus.

What Is the Pay.com.au Qantas Transfer Bonus?

Pay.com.au is currently offering bonus Qantas Points when members transfer PayRewards Points to Qantas Business Rewards.

The offer is:

10% bonus Qantas Points
when transferring 999,999 PayRewards Points or under in a single transfer

15% bonus Qantas Points
when transferring 1,000,000 PayRewards Points or more in a single transfer

The promotion runs from 18 May 2026 to 7 June 2026. Pay.com.au says the bonus is calculated on a per-transfer basis, not cumulatively, so the size of each individual transfer determines whether you receive the 10% or 15% bonus.

What Is Pay.com.au?

Pay.com.au is a business payments platform that allows Australian businesses to earn PayRewards Points on eligible business expenses.

This can include payments such as BAS, payroll, suppliers, superannuation and other business bills.

Instead of earning nothing on these payments, businesses can use Pay.com.au to earn PayRewards Points, then transfer those points to airline and hotel partners.

Pay.com.au says members can earn up to 1 or 2 PayRewards Points per $1 on business payments, depending on the earn option selected.

Why Pay.com.au is a Must-Have for Business Owners

For business owners, Pay.com.au can be one of the easiest ways to turn everyday business expenses into points.

If you’re already paying suppliers, tax, super, payroll, rent, inventory or other business bills, Pay.com.au gives you the ability to earn points on payments that would otherwise earn nothing.

For any Australian business owner who wants to build a serious points balance, Pay.com.au is absolutely worth looking at.

Note: You will pay a surcharge to optimise your expenses but allows you to 1) earn points across a wide range of airline partners 2) earn credit card points on top!

How Many Qantas Points Do You Get?

The standard PayRewards to Qantas transfer rate is:

2 PayRewards Points = 1 Qantas Point

During this promotion, you can earn either 10% or 15% more Qantas Points depending on how many PayRewards Points you transfer.

For example:

500,000 PayRewards Points
Normally converts to 250,000 Qantas Points
With a 10% bonus: 275,000 Qantas Points

1,000,000 PayRewards Points
Normally converts to 500,000 Qantas Points
With a 15% bonus: 575,000 Qantas Points

That is a meaningful bonus if you already know you’re going to use Qantas Points.

Why the Qantas Transfer Rate Is Strong

One of the big reasons this offer is tempting is because Qantas has one of the better Pay.com.au transfer rates.

Qantas Business Rewards transfers at:

2 PayRewards Points = 1 Qantas Point

By comparison, many other airline partners transfer at weaker rates.

For example, Pay.com.au lists transfer rates including:

3 PayRewards Points = 1 Qatar Airways Avios
3 PayRewards Points = 1 Asia Mile with Cathay Pacific
3 PayRewards Points = 1 Japan Airlines mile
3 PayRewards Points = 1 Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus mile
2.5 PayRewards Points = 1 Aeroplan point with Air Canada
2 PayRewards Points = 1 Velocity Point through Virgin Australia Business Flyer

So purely from a transfer-rate perspective, Qantas can be very attractive.

You’re getting a better conversion rate than many international airline partners, and during this promo, you’re getting a further bonus on top.

Is the 15% Qantas Transfer Bonus Worth It?

This is where it depends.

If you already have a Qantas redemption in mind, this can be a very good time to transfer.

For example, if you know you want to book Qantas Classic Reward seats, upgrade with Qantas Points, or use your business Qantas Points for travel you’ve already planned, then the bonus is genuinely useful.

But if you don’t have a clear plan, it may not be worth rushing.

The greatest benefit of PayRewards Points is flexibility.

Once your PayRewards Points are transferred to Qantas, they are locked into Qantas Business Rewards.

That means you lose the ability to transfer those same points to other airline partners.

And that flexibility can be incredibly valuable.

Why Flexibility Can Be More Valuable Than a Bonus

The best points strategy is not always about getting the biggest transfer bonus.

Sometimes, the best strategy is keeping your points flexible until you know which airline actually has reward seats available.

This matters because reward seat availability is unpredictable.

Qantas might not have seats on the route or date you need.

But another airline might.

That could be the difference between flying Business Class and not flying at all.

PayRewards Points can be transferred to multiple airline partners, including programs linked to Air Canada, Thai Airways, Japan Airlines, Virgin Australia, Cathay Pacific, Qatar Airways and more.

That flexibility gives you more options when it comes time to book.

Instead of being trapped in one program, you can choose the airline partner that actually has availability.

When You Should Transfer to Qantas

Transferring during this promo makes the most sense if:

You already know you will use Qantas Points
You have a specific Qantas redemption in mind
You regularly book through Qantas Business Rewards
You value Qantas Points more than the flexibility of PayRewards
You want to take advantage of the strong 2:1 transfer rate
You are transferring enough to trigger the 15% bonus tier

In that case, this is a nice opportunity to earn extra Qantas Points from points you were already planning to transfer.

When You Should Keep Your PayRewards Points Flexible

You may be better off keeping your PayRewards Points where they are if:

You don’t have a specific Qantas booking planned
You want access to multiple airline programs
You’re looking for hard-to-find Business Class reward seats
Your route may be better served by airlines like Qatar, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Thai Airways, Air Canada or Virgin Australia
You value flexibility more than a one-time bonus
You don’t want to be locked into Qantas availability

This is especially important for premium cabin travel.

If you are trying to fly Business Class or First Class, the best available seat may not always be with Qantas.

Sometimes it might be with Cathay Pacific.

Sometimes it might be with Qatar Airways.

Sometimes it might be with Japan Airlines, Thai Airways, Air Canada, Virgin Australia or another partner.

Keeping your points flexible means you can wait and transfer once you know where the best seat actually is.

The Simple Summary

This Pay.com.au to Qantas bonus is a good offer — but only for the right person.

If you will definitely use Qantas Points, now is a nice time to transfer and pick up the bonus.

The 2 PayRewards Points to 1 Qantas Point rate is already strong, and the extra 10% or 15% bonus makes it better.

But if you don’t have a Qantas redemption planned, I wouldn’t rush.

The real power of PayRewards Points is flexibility.

Being able to transfer to multiple airline partners can be far more valuable than taking a bonus and being stuck with one program.

Because at the end of the day, if Qantas doesn’t have the seats and another airline does, flexibility could be the difference between flying and not flying.
