Qantas has just launched Twice as Rewarding β€” double Status Credits or double Qantas Points on everything you book this week.

You have to register and book by 11:59pm on 2 September, which gives you about a week. Travel can be as far out as August 2027, so you can lock in a whole year of flying at double rate.

πŸ“‹ The offer in full

What you get: double Status Credits or double Qantas Points. You must choose one β€” you cannot have both.

Register and book: by 11:59pm AEDT 2 September 2026. Register your choice in the Qantas App or on the Qantas site before you book.

Travel window: 3 September 2026 to 14 August 2027.

No cap. There is no limit on how many eligible flights you book in the window.

Eligible: Qantas-marketed and operated QF flights, including QantasLink, Alliance Airlines, National Jet Express, Airlink, Eastern Australia Airlines, Network Aviation and Sunstate Airlines with QF Flight Numbers.

NOT eligible: Jetstar, Emirates, and every other partner and codeshare flight β€” even when they carry a QF flight number.

Lifetime status: the bonus Status Credits do count toward your Lifetime tier balance. They do not count toward Loyalty Bonus or Platinum Bonus Rewards.

Want to take advantage of this promo? Here are some status runs to consider:

πŸ’° Cheapest Status Credits β€” all Qantas, all doubled

These are the best value per dollar, and because they are entirely Qantas-operated the doubling applies to the whole trip.

Gold Coast to Melbourne to Adelaide β€” QF1567 + QF679 β€” Business β€” $499 β€” 100 Status Credits, doubled to 200

Gold Coast to Melbourne to Canberra β€” QF1571 + QF1562 β€” Business β€” $499 β€” 100 Status Credits, doubled to 200

Gold Coast to Melbourne to Hobart β€” QF1569 + QF1295 β€” Business β€” $499 β€” 100 Status Credits, doubled to 200

Adelaide to Melbourne to Gold Coast β€” QF690 + QF1572 β€” Business β€” $499 β€” 100 Status Credits, doubled to 200

That works out at about $2.50 per Status Credit once doubled. Two of these runs puts you past Silver.

As a rule of thumb, in order to unlock status credits as cheap as possible, you want to ideally look for flights with a stopover in a destination that is not on the way. For example, all of these flights above, you can see that Gold Coast to Adelaide is going to Melbourne first, which is NOT directly on that flight path. The more miles you travel means the more status credits you'll be able to unlock. Often these flights can be of similar value but unlock you significantly more status credits.

⚑ Fastest Status Credits per hour

If your problem is time rather than money, these earn the most per hour in the air.

Sydney to Canberra β€” QF1813 β€” Business β€” 55 minutes β€” $1,089 β€” 45 Status Credits, doubled to 90

Canberra to Sydney β€” QF1814 β€” Business β€” 55 minutes β€” $1,351 β€” 45 Status Credits, doubled to 90

Port Moresby to Brisbane β€” QF58 β€” Business β€” 2h 5m β€” around A$2,284 β€” 90 Status Credits, doubled to 180

Ninety Status Credits for 55 minutes of flying is the best rate going, though you are paying handsomely for the privilege.

πŸ† Biggest single hauls

If you want to earn the most amount of status credits in single flights. These will be business and first-class flights to long-haul destinations such as London, Rome, Los Angeles, and New York. However, these will set you back large sums of money, so it would only be ideal if you were purposely trying to level up your status ASAP or you were going on those flights anyway.

🎯 Which should you pick β€” Credits or Points?

Take double Status Credits if you are chasing a tier, or sitting just short of one. The targets are 300 for Silver, 700 for Gold and 1,400 for Platinum, and this offer effectively halves the flying needed to get there.

Take double Points if you are already happy with your tier, or you have no realistic path to the next one this year. Status you do not reach is worth nothing; points are worth something regardless.

Register before you book. Bookings made before you register may not count, and the window closes 11:59pm on 2 September.
